Lucia's & Biancca's Dream Public Transport Station; A Castle!

Lucia and her sister, Biancca decided to participate in our School's Travelwise Competition during lockdown.

The competition was for anyone to design their dream public transport station.

Here is how Lucia and Biancca used their imagination, got creative and designed a castle with their own picture as princesses to go inside the castle.  Well done, girls! I love the way you took pride to show your work in our Hangout Meet online class and explained how you cut out the walls of the castle and then covered them up with the purple and pink paper and drew the windows and door on your castle with the help of your lovely mum.  What great Ako! Ka pai girls!

Challenge Tuesday - Room 1 & Room 2 Making Masks

From this week of Lockdown, in our Junior School, we have decided to have a Challenge Tuesday every week. This week's Challenge Tuesday was to create our own mask to cover our nose and mouth. We could even dress up as a character. Room 2 children and teacher also visited us on our online class to share their masks. We had fun talking about our masks.

Can you guess who is hiding behind each mask?

Lucia's Writing

One of our Reading books for this week was My Name is Laloifi.

After playing the Criss Cross Candy Floss game mentioned in the story, we were also supposed to say our name and favourite colour like Laloifi did on her first day at school.

Here is Lucia's homework writing her name and favourite colour at home.

Well done, Lucia! You are such a good learner showing great Ako by following your lovely mum's instruction.  I am very proud of you reading your sentences to us on our online Hangout Meet class today.
